Choreographer Yoshie Shibahara developed a dialogue of cultures in her dance performance “Exuviae”. In “Young & Furious”, a production by Samir Akika and Johannes Fundermann, eight young performers hurled their sensitivities onto the stage. “The Dresses of Women”, a production by Thorsten Lensing and Jan Hein, exposes the soul of a certain Rita (Ursina Lardi). “We watch you watch” by Philine Velhagen is a cheerfully subversive performance in urban space. “FASADA 1/2”, a production by kainkollektiv, explored the reality of the city of Krakow. HELIOS Theatre presented “Hinter den Spiegeln”, an imaginary journey of images and sounds for people eight and up. “Romantic Afternoon*” by Verena Billinger and Sebastian Schulz is an entertaining self-experiment on the subject of kissing. The wood project” by Felix Bürkle, a bow to the forest as a living being, moved between dance and installation. “Today: Kohlhaas” is a furious play about power, arbitrariness and resistance, realised by Theater Marabu & AGORA with the means of fairground theatre. copy & waste developed “Orlac Hand Out”, a pop cultural kaleidoscope in times of body tuning and gene design. “GRIND”, a creation by Jefta van Dinther, Minna Tiikainen and David Kiers, is a nerve-racking metaphor for our contemporary world.

The thematic series “Stay with me for a little while” established a new setting for the festival: the city itself. The rapidly changing living conditions of the modern city were taken up. Choreographers, directors, photographers, video artists and musicians developed artistic concepts of radical participation: tracing social and political realities, cooperating with cultures in the urban space such as parkour and jerking, networking in the city of Dortmund and directly involving its inhabitants were the keywords here. The festival opened with a unique philosophical party with “©oPirates Dortmund” by choreographer Richard Siegal. Its conclusion with “Favorits” gave an insight into the work of Raimund Hoghe, resident in NRW and a major protagonist of the European dance and performance scene.

[su_custom_gallery source=”media: 250,251,252,253,254″ link=”lightbox” width=”210″ height=”210″]

Artists
Nevin Aladag Best Friends Dortmund
Samir Akika and Johannes Fundermann Young & Furious
Theatre Marabu & AGORA Today: Kohlhaas
Verena Billinger & Sebastian Schulz Romantic Afternoon*
Felix Bürkle The wood project
copy & waste Orlac Hand Out
copy & waste Cheap Throat
Jefta van Dinther, Minna Tiikainen and David Kiers GRIND
Philine Velhagen / Drama Cologne We Watch You Watch
Hajusom Theatre Hajusom in Bollyland
HELIOS Theatre Behind the Mirrors
Raimund Hoghe Favourites
Thorsten Lensing, Jan Hein and Ursina Lardi The Women’s Clothes
kainkollektiv (Mirjam Schmuck/Fabian Lettow) FASADA 1/2
PuzzleBeatZ & Phil Hallay PuzzleBeatZ workin’ hard
RaumZeitPiraten & Jan Ehlen Festival Centre
Richard Siegal ©oPirates Dortmund
Yoshie Shibahara Exuviae
Team
Artistic Director Aenne Quiñones
Programme Management & Dramaturgy Heike Albrecht
Assistant Artistic Director Johanna-Yasirra Kluhs
Scouts Steffen Moor, Judith Pawlitta, Jascha Sommer
Production Management Armin Leoni
Assistant production manager Judith Heese
Production Management ©oPirates Tanja Martin
Press Relations & Marketing Claudia Holthausen
Graphics Jürgen Fehrmann
Photos Julia Elger, Jürgen Fehrmann
Theatre pedagogy Stefan Blank
Technical management Hajü Müller
Management Andre Sebastian, Nilüfer Kemper
Assistant to the management Johanna Knott
Participating institutions, patrons and partners:
City of Dortmund Cultural Office, Verband Freie Darstellende Künste NRW e.V., Ministry for Family, Children, Youth, Culture and Sport NRW, City of Dortmund, NRW State Office for Independent Culture, LWL Cultural Foundation, Stiftung Kulturhauptstadt RUHR.2010, Kunststiftung NRW, NRW KULTURsekretariat, Nationales Performance Netz
Schauspiel Dortmund, Theater im Depot Dortmund, Dietrich-Keuning-Haus Dortmund, HMKV Hartware MedienKunstVerein, LAG Tanz NRW, Kulturrucksack NRW, Department of Scenography and Applied Social Sciences FH Dortmund, Institute of Theatre Studies at Ruhr University Bochum, Pumpenhaus Münster, FFT Düsseldorf, PACT Zollverein Essen, Ringlokschuppen Mülheim, etc.
FAV2012

download programme >>>
http://www.favoriten2012.de/de/festival.html

Sorry, this entry is only available in German.

[5
